Shepherd is watching

For the first thirty days Shepherd runs beside your current filter. It sees every page your Chromebooks load and blocks nothing. When the reports look right, flip one switch.

Turn on what your school needs

Each switch below is a real setting in the Shepherd console. Try them: every one says what it would do at a school like yours.

Every Chromebook, accounted for

Each device checks in every nine seconds. When one goes quiet, its card in the classroom view says so, and the dashboard counts who is online right now.

Run first at a K-12 school

Shepherd began as the filter one private Christian K-12 school needed and could not find at a fair price. It runs there every school day: about 550 people and some 118,000 requests a day.

Made by the person on call

It was written by the school’s IT administrator, the one who pastes extension IDs into Admin Console and takes the call when a lesson site is wrongly blocked. That is who reads your email.
